Distribution

FloraMax Auckland operates one of the most advanced flower distribution systems in the southern hemisphere.

Product arrives from all around the country overnight prior to an Auction and within hours has been redistributed to be dispatched throughout New Zealand.

Product arrives to FloraMax by way of growers, couriers, freight transporters and airfreight and is set ready for auction.  Once the product has passed the auction process the product is divided up to areas allocated to the auction buyers by the FloraMax distribution team. It is only a matter of the buyers checking their delivery dockets with their purchases and leaving the auction.

The distribution area is broken into two parts, one for larger allocated buyers and the other for general buyers.

Distribution System

When a buyer purchases product under the auction clock the system checks the buyers code to determine if the buyer has an allocated area or if they will be in the general buyers area.

If they have an allocated area the product is assigned to that buyers area, however if they are a general buyer the system allocates the first buyer of the day the first area, the second buyer is allocated the second area and so on.  It will also determine the size of the buyer and allocated enough area for the buyers purchases.

Once a buyer is ready to check their purchases all that is needed is to print a delivery docket and that will have the allocated area printed on it.

Tenant buyers take their product to their tenancy and pack the product for couriers and carriers to collect for distribution throughout New Zealand.
